About our products and process:
Masterpiece Canvas Studio has paid attention to every detail of the production
process. You have taken time to decide which photo you want to have processed
onto canvas. You have also worked hard for your money and want to be sure that
it is well spent. We want to insure that you receive a finished canvas of 100%
archival quality. We have researched every step of the process and have chosen
QUALITY above cost. We will be delivering to you nothing less than “A
Masterpiece”. Because of this your canvas will last for 100 years or
more. It will not fade, crack, warp or yellow and even be fingerprint proof.
We don’t cut corners and wont. To learn more about our processing and
become an educated consumer please read on. We know that you will not be disappointed.
The Printer: We use the state of the art HP Z 3200 designjet printer. This
printer holds 12 ink cartridges to deliver the full gamut of colors, to
deliver your
blackest blacks, true grays to vivid reds, blues and yellows. The plus for
me is it’s really fun to watch it work.
Ink: HP “Vivera” Professional inks are carefully designed, engineered
and tested by HP for exceptional color accuracy, consistency and fade resistance.
All of these together have an end result of permanence, durability and true
long lasting vibrant life like images on your canvas.
Canvas: Our “Archival Canvas” is made of water resistant Polyflax/Cotton
18 mil s thick.
Sealer: Every Masterpiece Canvas is spray coated in our studio with a special
polymer protective coating, that will not crack or yellow. This coating is
applied prior to stretching. This special coating will protect your canvas
from moisture, light, humidity, atmospheric contaminants, abrasion and even
fingerprints!
Frames: We use only high quality, sectioned, finger-splined, heavy duty kiln
dried, fir stretcher bars. The edges are “eased” with a ¾ inch
rise to allow for a smoother canvas face.
Staples: Yes staples. We have even paid attention to the type of staples
used on your canvas. Why? We want to give you a totally archival quality
piece right
down to the staples. We use 3/8” stainless steel staples that will
not rust.
Stretching: Each canvas is individually hand stretched for just
the right tension
onto the frame with the use of special canvas pliers or with the aid of
a “Quick
Mate” canvas stretcher.
Shipping: Your canvas will be professionally packaged and shipped to you
trackable and insured via UPS or Fed Ex. Your tracking number will be sent
to you by
email allowing you to watch it travel to your front door. |
